- Assist in providing a safe and nurturing environment for children in the daycare facility.
- Supervise and engage with children during playtime, mealtime, and naptime.
- Assist with diaper changes, potty training, and maintaining cleanliness and hygiene.
- Support the lead teacher in implementing age-appropriate activities and lesson plans.
- Monitor children's behavior and intervene when necessary to ensure a positive and inclusive environment.
- Collaborate with other staff members to maintain a well-organized and stimulating classroom.
Required Skills:
6 or more ECE credits or 1 year experience in a childcare setting Must be 18 years or older Knowledge of childhood development and early childhood education principles.
Must have Valid Drivers License Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs Must be able to be on your feet and keep up with the physical demands of working with infants and children.
Must be okay with doing minor household chores as in sweeping, mopping, loading dishwasher, diaper changes, and maintaining cleanliness of shared toys and sleeping arrangements.
Must be reliable Must be comfortable in taking care of 5-8 children by yourself for short periods of time.
Ability to adapt to the needs of individual children, including those with special education requirements.
Must have or be willing to obtain a background check at your own expense Must complete CPR/First Aid requirements at your own expense Must obtain or have a current TB test Must complete mandated reporter training within first 30 days of employment Must be able to relay information from staff to parents accurately and nicely.
Must be able to adapt to a structured daily routine We are seeking a dedicated Daycare Assistant to join our team.
