We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our intimate team in the Manufacturing industry.
The ideal candidate will provide essential support to our finance department and play a key role in maintaining our financial records, including accounts payable/receivable processing, purchases, cash receipts, and recording payments.
This is a permanent, full-time position that offers an exciting opportunity to work in a casual environment, with a very stable work system, and defined processes.
This role is perfect for entry level accounting professionals that need hands on training.
Responsibilities:
As an Accounting Assistant, your primary responsibilities will include:
1.
Assisting with the day-to-day management of all payment cycle activities in a timely and efficient manner, including invoice processing, daily bookkeeping records, billing, and accounts payable and receivable.
2.
Performing daily balances and maintaining accurate records of all transactions.
3.
Processing and monitoring incoming payments and securing revenue by verifying and posting receipts.
4.
Preparing and auditing daily accounting transactions, applying discounts and balancing daily sales.
5.
Ensuring all transactions are properly recorded in the company's general ledger.
6.
Resolving account discrepancies and collaborating with the owner to improve and streamline accounting procedures.
7.
Adhering to all company policies and procedures and ensuring compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Accounting Assistant position should possess the following
Qualifications:
1.
A minimum of 6 months in an office setting, cash handling, making deposits or handling minimal accounting transactions.
2.
Bssic knowledge in bookkeeping, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and invoicing.
3.
Excellent knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel, and familiarity with relevant accounting software.
4.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, strong numerical skills, and a high level of integrity.
5.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
6.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
7.
A passion for Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.
8.
Proactive, flexible, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
9.
Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
10.
