Sanitation and Production Manager
Almond Processing company seeks a Sanitation and Production Manager for its facility in Turlock, CA. Must be bilingual- English and Spanish. Hours are Tuesday-Saturday, 9 PM - 6 AM.
Sanitation Management:
The Sanitation Manager supervises and coordinates activities of the sanitation department, maintaining sanitary condition of the facilities, production equipment/tools through effective cleaning and proper scheduling and ensuring cost-effective operations within the department. Assists the Quality Assurance Department with inspection and testing activities through stages of the manufacturing processes to ensure internal and regulatory standards are met. Collaborates with QA, Production, and Maintenance staff to solve food safety and quality issues.
PPO/Sizer Management:
Production Supervisor assists the Operations Manager in the planning, coordination, and directing of work activities and resources necessary for PPOing/Sizing products in accordance with cost, quality, and quantity specifications. Responsibilities will include,but are not limited to such areas as Production Planning, Scheduling, Communications with Staff and Management, and meeting agreed Company objectives and targets.
Qualifications and/or
Experience:
3-5 years of experience in a supervisor/manager role of manufacturing operations, and business practices.
Ability to think independently, as well as determine and implement appropriate decisions.
Demonstrated skills in communications, leadership, and utilization of PC-based applications for research, spreadsheet analysis, and communications.
Ability to apply knowledge of multidisciplinary business principles and practices to achieve successful outcomes in cross-functional projects and activities
Must be familiar with all aspects of a HACCP based Food Safety Program (GFSI/SQF/BRC).
Familiarity with Safe Quality Food SQF
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in English, both orally and in writing.
Ability to speak Spanish.
Strong leadership skills, with the ability to coach and mentor others
Competent in Microsoft Office and Outlook Applications
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
