Egg Production Flock Manager
Gemperle Family Farms, a California fully integrated egg production company seeks an experienced egg production flock manager. As part of a management team, assist in providing leadership and oversight over pullet farms as well as layer farms. Attract, retain, engage and develop a skilled team to meet current and future business needs for a dynamic company producing both generic and specialty eggs.
Essential Job Functions:
1. Supervise labor for multiple facilities.
2. Oversee egg production and direct maintenance of farms.
3. Oversee compliance of all regulations and certifications, including animal welfare standards.
4. Monitor and maintain efficiency through effective management.
5. Maintain and monitor health and productivity of flocks.
6. Manage vaccination as well as nutritional needs of flocks
7. Computer skills required for environmental control systems and general duties.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
1. Five or more years experience in poultry flock management preferred.
2. Minimum bachelors degree in poultry/animal science or equivalent experience.
3. Strong mechanical background a plus.
